Weekly Letter/Carta Semanal

Dear Parents,
Can you believe we are about half way done with the last quarter? That means that we are only weeks away from the end of the school year and still have a lot of work to get done! First off, let's get through this week. On Wednesday, the sixth grade will lead us in mass at 8:15am. Please join us if you can. Also, spelling and vocabulary activities are due. On Thursday we have our annual Science Fair at 6pm in the school auditorium. Your child must have been hard at work for the last couple of weeks getting their project together! Junior High students will have to give their oral presentation on Monday and display their project on Thursday. Thursday will also be action packed for the 7th and 8th grade as they will be attending LMU's annual Sports Day! Students will have the opportunity to participate in soccer, basketball, volleyball, and swimming. Keep your eyes open on Friday. You won't want to miss the 8th graders in their caps and gowns! They will take the official class picture on Friday. Also, don't forget that progress reports go home on Friday. Please review their progress reports. If they have any missing or incomplete assignments, please ask them to complete them. They may turn it in on Tuesday, May 22, 2012. If they have not taken a quiz or test, please remind them to come talk to me regarding when they will make it up. I am available for make-ups at break, lunch, and after school. On Saturday, a number of the students will make their First Communion. Please keep them in your prayers as it is a very exciting moment in their lives. Also, Family Mass will be led by Kindergarten this Sunday. It would be wonderful to see you there! |
Queridos padres,
Puede creer que estamos a mediados del cuarto trimestre? Eso quiere decir que solo nos faltan varias semanas paraque termine el ano escolar y todavia hay mucho por hacer! Pero primero, hay que ver todo lo que va a pasar esta semana. El miercoles, la misa a de las 8:15am sera dirigida por el sexto grado. Acompañemos! También se deben entregar los trabajos de ortografía y vocabulario. El Jueves es el "Science Fair" anual a las 6pm en el auditorio escolar. Sus hijos han de haber estado trabajando las ultimas semanas para terminar su proyecto! Los alumnos de secundaria tienen que dar su reporte oral el lunes y presentar su proyecto el jueves. El jueves los alumnos del 7 y el 8 tendrán la oportunidad de ir a la Universidad de Loyola Marymount a jugar deportes. Podrán jugar fútbol, basquetbol, voleibol y natación. Mantengan los ojos abiertos el viernes! No se quedran perder a los del octavo en sus "cap and gowns." El viernes se tomara la foto oficial de la clase. Y los reportes de progreso se mandaran a casa el viernes tambien. Favor de repasar el reporte de su hijo/a. Si tienen algún trabajo que no han entregado o que esta incompleto, diganles que lo hagan y lo entreguen. Pueden entregar todos sus trabajo el martes, 22 de mayo del 2012. Si hay algún examen que no han tomado, recuerdeles que es su responsabilidad venir a hablar conmigo sobre cuando lo van a tomar. Yo estoy disponible durante el recreo, el almuerzo y después de escuela. El sábado varios alumnos harán la Primera Comunión. Favor de orar por ellos puesto que es un momento muy emocionante para ellos. El domingo, los alumnos de Kinder nos guiaran en misa. Seria maravilloso verlos! |
